Jang Shou Korean Charcoal BBQ @ Esplanade Colours By The Bay
met Onew sao on Wednesday, and since we were at City Hall, we decided to go for some fine dining at the Esplanade. Being quite a pro-Korean ourselves, we decided to have Jang Shou Korean Charcoal BBQ ^^ we knew that that restaurant was rather pricey, however, thinking that since it's so pricey, it would have something good to offer... how wrong were we=/
First major disppointment: I was quite taken aback when I came to realize the menu was only 4 pages long... WOW, what a spread they offer-.-
Second major disappointment: With the already limited spread they have to offer, they further restricted our choices by stating that customers have to order at least 2 BIG portions of BBQ meat if you're opting for a BBQ dinner. Since is was just Onew sao and me, we went for the soup based korean noodle hot pot instead... how do you expect 2 GIRLS to finish 2 portions of meat? -.-

Above's the picture of what we had for dinner. Ingredients were aplenty and the noodles were tasty, a pity the soup was lacking in flavour =/

my only consolation for dinner that night was the spread of side dishes. Thankfully the kimchi was crunchy enough to save the day of an otherwise not so wonderful dinner. The cold mushrooms was what I loved best, with a faint frangrance of the mushroom which wasn't too strong to my liking :)
All in all, i guess it was lesson learnt for the both of us. Expensive does not equate to good food, haha! thankfully the company made everything fall right into place ^^
