A Wanderer's LifeIn the blink of an eye, half a year seem to have came and gone just like that. I've graduated in Feb and have been waiting for uni to start since then... Over the past half a year, despite not being in school, I guess it's still a rather
fulfilling year having picked up quite a few things...
One by one, I slowly picked up things which I wanted to learn and did things which I wanna do. After about 3 months of lessons, I've managed to get my driving license which I've long wanted to get but always procrastinated in doing so due to my laziness. I've also managed to pick up Korean- a language which I've keen interest in. It's really a sense of achievement to be able to read and write Hangul in just half a year. This I'm proud of myself ^^ Next language which I want to pick up- MALAY :D
For those who know me well enough, should know that I'm someone who can't really stay still in a single place for too long, therefore, I've gotten myself in and out of a few different jobs over the past months. Job switching was indeed a good exposure for me, due to the different work natures, I've gained quite a lot from each different designation, things which can't really be taught from lectures and textbooks :)
My first designation since graduation was Community Development Executive with People's Association. I had the opportunity to have lots of interaction with residents,
grassroots leaders and even the MP. In my opinion, this is by far the most satisfying job I've ever taken. Yes, I do admit it's very tiring with the odd hours of work, countless ad-
hoc duties to undertake and also to act as a bridge between the residents and PA. But it's truly satisfying each time I close the case with residents feeling happy and thankful for what I've done for them.

Of course, what's life without some fun right? I've met wonderful colleagues at
Bishan North CC (well, a couple of
horrid ones as well,
HAHA!) it's always party time with the youngsters whenever boss is not around^^ Ordering pizzas for dinner, buying more than 10 cups of
Koi each time, endless amount of tidbits at our work station, happy hour and karaoke session after work. Seriously, all these little things really made working there less tiresome :)

Shortly after I left PA, I went on to work in the annual COMEX IT Fair. It was yet another kind of experience for me. Having to be very familiar with the product I was dealing with was no easy feat. Took me quite some time to familiarize with everything just before the roadshow started. It was also physically draining having to stand all day. IT fair is always like a madhouse, and I'm glad I've survived the madness, HAHA!
Last but not least, I went on to work in a call centre at SPH. This is by far my first time working in such an environment. Turnout for the project we were handling was bad, hence, we actually didn't have much to do at all during these 2 weeks. Yes, I've gotten the essence of how a call centre operates and was taught how to handle difficult customers through the minimal calls we've received, but still...... oh well, the pictures will tell you more about my job scope, HAHAHA!
this is how a typical call center girl looks like- with headphones on.
this is basically what keeps me entertained throughout the day- FACEBOOK, TWTTER, YOUTUBE :D

TIDBITS to munch on when we're feeling bored
and lastly, this is what a typical desktop wallpaper looks like with the result of having a shared desktop, LOL!

a word of serious thought, the last job at the call center was rather disappointing in terms of exposure that I'm getting. I seriously think I'm too intelligent for the job I'm tasked to do -.-
All in all, it's about time I did a closure to the kind of wanderer's life I've been leading, and be prepared to head back to school in end October :D
I'm glad this year isn't a futile year for me...
