Had a short getaway to Krabi- Thailand with the group of buddies from school recently. Krabi was simply a breathtakingly beautiful sight to behold. It is indeed good to have such escapades to leave the hustle and bustle behind to rejuvenate oneself once in awhile :) I love the pace of the lifestyle there. The people are really nice and friendly, and it's so laid back that you don't have to worry about anything. To think that I couldn't bear to leave that wonderful place on our last day, hahaha! I believe words won't be enough to describe the beauty of the island and the wonderful time I've spent there, so I shall let the photograph's talk on my behalf ^^
Met everyone at the airport at 6.30am in the morning! we woke up early but we all didn't seem tired as we were unable to contain our excitement for the trip, LOL! had breakfast together and checked in shortly after.... Our flight to Thailand was a rather scary one due to the heavy rain that day which lead to a lot of turbulence and we had an on flight delay of about 2 hours before we reached Thailand.
after reaching Phuket, we took a 2.5 hours land transfer to Krabi... Such an irony, we took a total of about 6 hours to get to Krabi, but our journey back to Singapore was in less than 2 hours as we took a direct flight back to Singapore from Krabi Airport instead of flying from Phuket Airport, HAHAH!
We didn't do much on our first day as it was raining pretty much the whole day, so we
just explored around our hotel area and shopped around.
We travelled around in the oh-s0-famous tuktuk to places such as Susan Hoi, Krabi Town, and Tiger Cave.
the beach at ao-nang, which was near where we stayed.
Tiger Cave. We had to climb over 1000 steps to the top of the mountain as the temple was situated on top. It was the place which took my tolerance to a new level at climbing those endless steep stairs and also a place were I found out I was actually I very brave person, HAHAHA! It was quite eventful at the Tiger Cave as we got attacked by monkeys. Thank goodness the local guide came to our rescue timely... all that went through my mind at the moment to monkey was about to pounce on me was "INSURANCE!" hahaha! Despite the whole monkey episode, I was glad we went there as the scenery was splendid when we were up on the mountain...the moment you see the vast land from up above, all my lethargy from climbing the stairs disappeared :)

Lae Lay Grill is another must visit place if you're in Krabi. This dining place is actually up the hill and it has the beautiful sunset and vast sea as the backdrop, a truly romantic dining place. The food was really nice as well.
Taking speedboat for Phiphi Island tour!

soaking in the ocean :) this is my first time snorkeling, and I never regret trying it at all. The underwater world is truly a sight to behold. Really really beautiful... Looking at the different kind of fishes and corals, it was just "WOW" ^^
oh! we also celebrated Peiyi's birthday while we were in Krabi :) hope you liked the little surprise we had for you babe!
this is the beautiful view from our hotel...
Krabi, I'll be back! :)
