I've finally got my National Youth Achievement Award!!! I was estatic to hear that I was one of the candidates to receive this prestigeous award. nothing could describe that sense of euphoria i felt when i received that phonecall. I was quite shocked actually... cause i fulfiled all the criteria of the award except for the advanture section... still rmb how i couldnt complete that advanture camp due to a high fever i developed on the first dae... i was quite disappointed at tt time as i felt it was such a waste to give up tt award over a fever... surprisingly, the panel of judges passed me n here i m with my CERTIFICATE!!!!!! going thru this programme has helped me develop personal qualities of self-reliance, perseverance and sense of responsibility.... it has indeed been a fun ride trying to fulfil all the requirements... saw my sec skool principal while i was bac in skool collecting the cert.. chatted with him for awhile and he was urging me to go for the gold award... its amazing that the skool principal actually remembered me, a veri ordinary student in that skool.. i was touched when he said he believe i can achieve that gold award and asking me give it a shot.. thanks for tt pat on the shoulder mr gopal=) but should i go for it? i doubt i will la.. nid to think over it first before deciding.. cause i bet yr 2 is gonna be a veri hectic yr in poly.. doubt i'll have the time to commit 18months for the gold award.. haha...
